This is a research-based product overview, not a hands-on review. We have not tested this product; the assessment below is based on the cited specifications and published evidence.

The Vaporesso XROS 5 is a refillable pod device aimed at adult smokers and vapers who want a compact kit with more adjustment than a very basic stick pod. It is not a single-use product, and the relevant UK version should be the TPD/CRC 2ml pod configuration rather than the larger-capacity versions shown for some markets.

Core specifications

Vaporesso’s product page lists a 1500mAh battery, Type-C charging at up to 3A, a 0.88 inch TFT display, adjustable airflow and compatibility across XROS pod resistances from 0.4ohm to 1.2ohm. Its manual separates the 3ml and 2ml versions and lists the 2ml version at 116.8 x 24.5 x 14.5mm, with the same 1500mAh battery and a 0.88 inch TFT display.

The official TPD kit listing on the product page includes an XROS 0.6ohm mesh pod pre-installed and an XROS 0.8ohm mesh pod in the box. That combination points towards a device intended for mouth-to-lung and restricted direct-lung styles rather than high-power sub-ohm use.

Compatibility and daily use

The main advantage on paper is ecosystem compatibility. Someone already using recent XROS pods may find the XROS 5 easier to understand than moving to a completely different platform. The trade-off is that XROS pods are integrated-coil pods, so when the coil is finished the whole pod is replaced rather than just a separate coil head.

The display and button controls will appeal to users who want to see settings rather than rely only on indicator lights. For a new switcher who only wants inhale-and-go simplicity, the extra screen and modes may be more than is needed. The XROS 5 Mini already published on vape.blog covers the simpler end of the same family; the full XROS 5 is the more adjustable sibling.

UK and safety context

The current GOV.UK consumer e-cigarette regulations restrict e-cigarette tanks to no more than 2ml and nicotine-containing e-liquid refill containers to 10ml, with nicotine strength capped at 20mg/ml. UK buyers should therefore check that packaging and pods are the compliant 2ml version.

The NHS describes nicotine vaping as less harmful than smoking but not risk-free, and says children and non-smokers should not vape. The London Fire Brigade advises using the correct charger, not leaving devices charging unattended or overnight, and stopping use if a battery becomes unusually hot, swollen or damaged.

Verdict

The XROS 5 looks like a sensible research-based candidate for adults who want a refillable pod with a screen, adjustable airflow and broad XROS pod compatibility. It is less compelling for someone who wants the simplest possible device, replaceable coils, or a larger tank outside the UK framework. Published specifications do not verify flavour quality, coil life, leak resistance or real battery endurance, so those points should be treated as manufacturer claims until independently tested.

Assessment

A well-specified refillable pod option for adults who want more control than a basic pod, provided the UK 2ml version is chosen; real-world endurance, flavour and pod life are not established by the published sources alone.
