This is a research-based product overview, not a hands-on review. We have not tested this product; the assessment below is based on the cited specifications and published evidence.
The UWELL CALIBURN G4 is a refillable pod device in the long-running Caliburn line. On paper it is aimed at adults who want a small pod kit with adjustable airflow, screen feedback and a broader range of control than the simplest inhale-only devices.
Core specifications
UWELL’s product page lists a maximum output of 35W, a 1300mAh battery, Type-C charging at 5V/2A and a 0.85 inch HD colour screen. The page also describes two output modes, Storm and Waves, plus airflow adjustment by slider and by changing cartridge orientation.
UWELL says the CALIBURN G4 is compatible with previous and upgraded CALIBURN GPP cartridges, and that the upgraded cartridges are also compatible with CALIBURN G3 series devices. That compatibility is the most important practical point for existing Caliburn users: it may reduce the need to change platform if they already have suitable pods.
UK variant and compliance
The public manufacturer page reviewed here is clear on battery, charging, output and compatibility, but less clear in visible text on pod capacity. It does provide TPD files through UWELL’s download area, and UK buyers should make sure they are looking at the UK/TPD version rather than an international larger-capacity version.
That matters because the GOV.UK consumer e-cigarette regulations restrict e-cigarette tanks to no more than 2ml and require relevant products to be notified before they can be sold. Nicotine-containing e-liquid strength is also capped at 20mg/ml. A CALIBURN G4 offered with larger pods would not be the appropriate UK nicotine-vaping variant.
Who it may suit
The CALIBURN G4 may suit adult smokers or existing adult vapers who prefer a pocketable refillable pod and want some control over airflow and power delivery. The screen and mode options make more sense for someone who enjoys adjusting draw feel than for a person who wants a purely minimal device.
There are also limits to what can be concluded from published specifications. UWELL’s page refers to laboratory-based improvements in cartridge lifespan and flavour satisfaction, but those are manufacturer claims rather than independent long-term measurements in ordinary UK use. Coil longevity, leaking, flavour consistency and real battery endurance depend heavily on e-liquid, puff pattern and maintenance.
Health and battery context
The NHS describes nicotine vaping as less harmful than smoking, while stressing that it is not harmless and that children and non-smokers should never vape. The London Fire Brigade advises not leaving vapes charging unattended or overnight, avoiding extreme temperatures and stopping use if a battery becomes unusually hot, swollen or damaged.
Verdict
The CALIBURN G4 is a credible research-based option for adults who want a compact refillable pod with a screen, adjustable airflow and Caliburn cartridge compatibility. Its strongest case is for existing Caliburn users who value the GPP ecosystem. The main caution is evidential: the official sources support the headline specifications, but they do not prove real-world pod life, flavour performance or reliability.
